Para ter certeza, examine a planta e a compare com imagens da esp\u00e9cie em cat\u00e1logos bot\u00e2nicos, pesquisando por seu nome cient\u00edfico.<\/p>\n<p>Depois, deve-se higieniz\u00e1-la para eliminar micro-organismos nocivos. Ranieri sugere mergulhar a planta por 15 minutos numa solu\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua e hipoclorito de s\u00f3dio (item vendido nos mercados como desinfetante ou purificador).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media-landscape has-caption full-width\"><span class=\"image-and-copyright-container\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-image__img js-image-replace\" src=\"https:\/\/ichef.bbci.co.uk\/news\/624\/cpsprodpb\/179DF\/production\/_101753769_ipe2.jpg\" alt=\"Ip\u00ea branco em Bras\u00edlia\" width=\"989\" height=\"749\" data-highest-encountered-width=\"624\" \/><\/span><figcaption class=\"media-caption\"><span class=\"media-caption__text\">H\u00e1 v\u00e1rias esp\u00e9cies de ip\u00ea com flores comest\u00edveis<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Segundo ele, deve-se ter o mesmo cuidado com todas as verduras e legumes comuns.<\/p>\n<p>Plantas em avenidas movimentadas ou em \u00e1reas que possam estar contaminadas &#8211; como os arredores de zonas industriais, oficinas mec\u00e2nicas e postos de gasolina &#8211; devem ser evitadas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Na d\u00favida, melhor n\u00e3o comer&#8221;, diz Ranieri.<\/p>\n<p>A BBC Brasil listou dez esp\u00e9cies de plantas comest\u00edveis bastante comuns em cidades do pa\u00eds:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. As flores s\u00e3o consumidas cruas, em saladas, ou como decora\u00e7\u00e3o de pratos variados.<\/p>\n<p>Tamb\u00e9m podem ser usadas como corantes de conservas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. As folhas bem jovens tamb\u00e9m s\u00e3o comest\u00edveis, mas devem ser bem cozidas, descartando-se as nervuras mais grossas. As mesmas instru\u00e7\u00f5es valem para a taoiba comum, de caule verde.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6. Quando cozidas, refogadas ou ensopadas, soltam uma baba (mucilagem) que lembra a do quiabo.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e3o uma excelente fonte de minerais, como o f\u00f3sforo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.
