Writing in the medical journal, The Lancet, the experts are calling for people across the world to work together to fight the threat.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\"><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Danny Aeberhard<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The experts warn we&#8217;re at the dawn of a\u00a0<strong>post-antibiotic<\/strong>era. Immediate global action is needed, they say, if\u00a0<strong>dire consequences<\/strong>\u00a0are to be avoided within just a few years.<\/p>\n<p>This would involve cutting down on the unnecessary<strong>prescription<\/strong>\u00a0of antibiotics and providing\u00a0<strong>incentives<\/strong>\u00a0to pharmaceutical companies to develop new drugs.
